Take Stock Scholarship Eligibility
Post-secondary scholarship opportunities are available to deserving eligible Monroe County middle and high school students in grades 6 through 9 from low income households. Students applicants are evaluated on income and academic qualifiers.
Selected students have the opportunity to earn up to a four-year college scholarship covering tuition and local fees. Selected students may also earn access to a two-year dormitory scholarship. Scholarship recipients are required to maintain academic standards, maintain good attendance, maintain good behavior, meet weekly with a mentor, and remain crime/drug free.
Scholarship Application Requirements
Student applicant must:
Be enrolled in an approved monroe county school
be a 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th grade student in good standing
have earned passing grades (c or better) in all classes with a minimum 2.0 gpa
have passing scores on florida standardized tests (fast or equivalent)
meet financial eligibility requirements established by the Tsic program
Please have the the following documents available for upload during the application process:
A copy of the parent/guardian U.S. Income Tax Statement 2024 - IRS Form 1040
Florida DCF - SNAP, TANF, Medicaid or HUD eligibility document (if applicable)
A copy of student applicant’s U.S. Social Security Card
Applicant must provide a copy of the 2024 Federal Income Tax Return filed by parent(s) or guardian(s) claiming student as a dependent.
NOTE
Family income cannot exceed levels shown in the chart
Applicant must provide a copy of his or her parent(s)/guardian(s) 2024 tax return or equivalent proof of income
W2 earning statements, payroll stubs, or bank statements are not accepted
