Fundraising

We could not exist without our donors.  A donation of $19,363 – together with the 100% State match – will pay all tuition and local fees for 4 college years, and dormitory housing for 2 years for one Monroe County student. Thanks for your donation!

Other Ways to Give

GIVE THROUGH A WILL OR YOUR ESTATE

Please talk to your estate attorney for specifics.  In general, here’s how it works:

  1. You make Monroe County Education Foundation a beneficiary in your will, or a designated beneficiary of your retirement plan, life insurance policy, or other asset.

  2. Monroe County Education Foundation receives your gift when your estate is settled.

DONATE STOCKS AND MUTUAL FUNDS

Securities can be gifted in two ways: either via electronic transfer (in which your broker transfers shares) or by physically mailing the paper certificates to the Monroe County Education Foundation. Either method is acceptable. Contact our local office via Take Stock in Children Monroe office at (305) 293-1546.  It will also be necessary for you to contact your broker to initiate the transfer.
